JSL-art has neither a guestbook nor a forum. This site is meant to simply be a web-gallery and portfolio. Feedback, critiques, suggestions and questions I will happily answer by e-mail, see Contact.
Links to this site are welcome, provided they are not discrediting. Sub-pages, even single image-pages may be linked to as well. For the direct linking of images, the rules of copyright apply.

Just as I like to take on advice myself, I am happy if I can help other artist. So anyone who has advice or want some, please write. I will evaluate pictures and sketches sent to me, it may take a while but I will answer.
I am often asked how I work... Well, mainly with my graphics tablet and Corel Painter, occasionally I use other graphic software, too. I try to come up with at least two sketches a day, mostly done in my sketchbook (which now fills its own shelf with its companions). I'm inspired by photorealism, photography, concept art, sometimes even manga and anime. I study the old masters like Rembrandt, but also get good ideas from movies. Mentioning all my sources of inspiration would of course go too far.
